Lesson XI of XIII · the TEND course
The idea behind this card — Warmth as regulation

Physical warmth regulates: warm drinks, blankets, bathwater, and sun lower stress arousal, and the body partially reads physical warmth as social warmth — which matters when your usual warm body at your feet is gone. Their blanket near you, if you want it, is comfort and continuing bond in one object. This is nervous system maintenance, not wallowing. Comfort isn't a luxury right now. It's how the machine keeps running.
