You found a HELD card.

Someone is grieving — maybe you, maybe someone who loved you enough to hand you this. Here is the whole system, in one minute.

1 · The front is a feeling

Fifty-two short, honest companions for grief — human loss or the loss of an animal. No clichés. No stages you're behind on. Written to be true on the worst day.

2 · The back is a lesson

Turn the card. Every card teaches one research-backed idea about grief — named, in plain words. Four courses of thirteen lessons: GROUND (the body), FEEL (permission), REMEMBER (the bond), TEND (help). A deck is a textbook of grief literacy.

3 · The QR opens the room

Every card has a room on this site — the full lesson, a practice to do today, the science behind it, and voices showing the card in use. You're probably standing in one now.

4 · The candle wall

In every room, real people light candles — anonymous, moderated, free forever. You are not the only one on this card tonight. You never were.

5 · Forever, not once

Grief isn't a one-time event, and this isn't a one-time gift. The rooms don't expire. Come back at the anniversary, the ambush, the good year, the hard one. Whatever is coming up — the room is open.

Free. Anonymous. Companionship, not therapy — and if things are heavier than you can carry, 988 (call or text, US) is a real human, right now.
